You might say 2017 is turning out to be quite the year for Lauren Alaina.

Her single, “Road Less Traveled,” hit number one on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart. It marked her first single to do so.

She ended a five-year album drought in January by releasing her 10-song collection by the same name. It debuted at number two on Billboard’s country albums chart.

Now she’s the star of a film called “Road Less Traveled,” which is available for streaming and download beginning today (June 6).

Lauren plays a country music singer named Charlotte, who returns home to Tennessee hoping to borrow her late mom’s wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials.

She winds up running into an old flame — she’s arrested by him, actually — and begins to wonder if she’s marrying the right man.

This marks the first acting role for the 22-year-old who placed second on American Idol Season 10.

In an interview with Nash Country, Lauren described the film as a romantic comedy focused on “a bunch of wedding drama.”

“It’s the kind of movie that when you’re home in your pajamas, and you want to be comfy, it’s that kind of movie that you watch that makes you feel good,” she told the site.

In addition to the title tune, the film features other songs from Lauren’s new album. Here’s the trailer.

The film also stars Charlene Tilton, Donny Boaz and Jason Burkey.

As for Lauren, she’s also on tour with Luke Bryan with dates scheduled in Hershey (June 23) and Columbia, Md. (June 25).
