Chris Blue might have been named the official winner of The Voice Season 12.

But Lauren Duski just won on another music chart.

Her original single “Deja Vu,” a song she co-wrote, debuted at number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles this week.

That’s 23 spots better than Chris’ original, “Money on You.” And Lauren also cracked the Hot 100 with her cover of Garth Brook’s “The Dance.” That checked in at number 92.

When voting ended at noon the day after The Voice performance finale, Lauren was sitting at #1 and #2 on the iTunes singles chart with “Deja Vu” and “The Dance.” Chris was at number three with “Money On You.”

And that wasn’t all the good news on Billboard for Lauren.

“Deja Vu” was number four on the Hot Country Singles chart. And it topped the Billboard Country Digital Sales Chart.

Not bad for the first original released by the 25-year-old from Gaylord, Mich.

Lauren told her hometown newspaper, The Gaylord Herald Times, that she really wasn’t concerned with where she finished one she reached the finals and results were being announced.

“We all felt like winners. When it came down to Chris winning, I just kept thanking the Lord over and over,” Lauren told the newspaper. “I never dreamed of making it to the finale.”

As for what’s next, Lauren said “I want to hit the ground running with putting out new music.”

You might say she’s off to a good start.
