She also has a new name.
In fact, the first thing you’ll see on her new Instagram page is: Juliet Simms is gone, Lilith Czar has risen.
Lilith’s first release in a song called “King” in which she belts out, “if it’s a man’s world, I want to be king” in gritty, impassioned vocals every Juliet Simms fan will recognize.
As for the name change, here’s what Lilith told Paper Mag: “For a long time as Juliet Simms, I didn’t know who I was. I spent many years trying to discover my opinion, my voice, what I wanted to say, who I wanted to be, what I wanted to look like. There’s many iterations of Juliet Simms trying new things, trying new looks. I spent so much time not knowing who that was and it coincided with living in my own hell. I had a lot of demons to face, things to overcome and personal issues that I eradicated, thankfully, but it took years and it was definitely something that was brought about from being in this male-dominated, hard f—–g industry.”
There’s a music video for “King.”
And, now knowing who she is and what she wants to say, Lilith plans to release an album called “Created From Filth and Dust,” due out April 23.
Two of the tracks on the album — “100 Little Deaths” and “Bad Love” — were originally released as singles when Lilith was still Juliet.
Here’s “King.”
