And now we have a final six on The Voice, consisting of Jacquie Lee, Tessanne Chin, James Wolpert, Will Champlin and Cole Vosbury.
Oh, I almost forgot to add Matthew Schuler.
Maybe because voters almost forget to add him, sending the West Chester University student and coach Christina Aguilera two very clear messages.
1. They like Matthew the singer lots more than Matthew the dancer.
2. One misstep can be oh, so costly on The Voice. Especially when the talent is this deep.
Meanwhile, poor Cee Lo Green suffered through a pretty bad night.
He lost his final singer — Caroline Pennell — completing a Season 5 in which he looked badly over-matched by his fellow coaches.
He took the stage and delivered a performance of “Amy” that would have ranked as the ninth best performance out of nine had it come a night earlier.
He took the stage in a black and white striped outfit that was … shall we just use the word “unfortunate.”
