Colin Jamieson of American Idol Season 19

Colin Jamieson is among the artists we’re likely to see Sunday on American Idol’s final audition episode of Season 19.

Here’s more about Colin.

* He’s 22, from Boxford, Mass., and a 2016 graduate of Masconomet High School.

* Colin recalls singing “Rockin’ Robin” in first grade and having a teacher compliment him on the performance, he told WCVB.com.

* After that, he’d sing almost every day in the auditorium, adding that he knew by age 12 that he wanted to be a musician.

* He plays piano and guitar and has been performing with a wedding band, according to an article in the Lynn Journal.

* He also spent time in a boy band called Kik-it in the 2011-2015 time frame. The group opened a show for Big Time Rush, performed at a MADD benefit and appear to have been quite active.

* One of his friends in that boy band, Danny Falco, also auditioned for Season 19 of Idol.

* As for meeting Idol’s superstar judges, here’s what Colin told the Journal: “My feeling was, ‘I’ve put in so much work by myself at this house in Boxford in my basemen studio and to be there in front of the judges, I had nothing but a big smile on my face.’ The thought I had in my head was, ‘I can’t wait to show you guys what I can do’.’’

* Colin’s also among several Season 19 artists who have released solo music. In his case, that includes an EP called “The Kid” from April 2020. The final track, “Maximus,” is especially impressive from a vocal standpoint.

* He followed up in November with a single called “2020.” You can check it out below. And would you believe the lyrics talk about a sense of frustration?

* Colin auditioned with Billie Eilish’s “Six Feet Under” in an audition Idol has already released. He got compliments on his performance and Idol has already spoiled the secret. Colin is off to Hollywood.
