Edward Prebel from The Voice Season 26

His audition: Edward Preble, 19, Fernandina Beach, Fla., “Luck Be a Lady”: Edward’s strong, crystal clear vocals earned an immediate chair turn from Snoop Dogg. With some encouragement from Gwen Stefani, Michael Buble pushed his button as the song came to an end. Snoop liked his voice and his stage presence. Michael called him “a special kid” with the combination of his voice and personality. Edward joined Team Michael.

Here’s more about Edward.

* On Instagram, he describes himself as a New York-based crooner, singing popsy, bluesy, and easy tunes in a dimly lit lounge near you.

* He’s also a student at Hofstra University and wears a suit every day because of his appreciation of vintage vibes, according to a 2023 interview.

* You won’t be surprised to learn tha this musical inspirations include Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bing Crosby.

* In fact, thanks to his hair style and the fedora he often dons, Edward looks a bit like a young Sinatra.

* That said, he wants to be his own artist, he told The Hofstra Chronicle in that 2023 interview.

* “I’m trying to find my own voice, my own sound, because I don’t want people coming up to me and saying, ‘You’re like Sinatra; you’re like an impersonator,’” Preble told the site.

* For that reason, he’s working on applying his jazz approach to covers of more modern pop songs.

* Edward was born and raised in Miami to immigrant parents and says he’s always been drawn to vintage style.

* In fact, he’s also done a podcast called Jello Salad with Veronika Yasmine where they tell amusing stories and ‘debunk some common vintage stereotypes and myths.” Four episodes of Jello Salad are available on Spotify.
