Frankie Torres of The Voice Season 26

Frankie Torres of The Voice Season 26

Her audition: Frankie Torres, 24, Minnetonka, Minn., “Magic Man” by Heart: The minute her vocal swelled, you knew chairs had to turn. And as Frankie kept belting impressively, they started to do so until all four coaches were facing her way. Reba called her a firecracker. Gwen Stefanie called her voice beautiful and said she kept getting stronger as the song went on. Snoop Doog loved her star power. Frankie decides to join Team Gwen.

Here’s more about Frankie:

* She’s a singer-songwriter who’s been performing in the Twin Cities area for a decade, according to her Spotify bio.

* She adds that the foundation of her music is the classic rock and the blues that she grew up singing in bars and at music festivals, though it’s influenced by other genres as well, including R&B, indie and soul.

* To date, she’s released about a half dozen singles, plus a four-song EP called “Common Mistakes” in 2023.

* After years of performing, she fulfilled a goal by releasing her first original, “Grandpa’s Song,” in October 2020. It’s about her grandfather’s struggle with Alzheimer’s.

* Her latest single, “Out of Time,” dropped in March. You can check it out below.

* Writes Frankie on social media: “I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by the state of the world and the climate changing right before our eyes. This song is a commentary on how we treat the world and those around us, and how today’s world can take such a mental toll on us all of us living in it.”

* In addition to working on her original music, Frankie is a lead singer with Midnight Rambler, a cover band that performs a wide range of music from the 1960s to today, according to its website.

* That website says the band formed after the Covid pandemic. “After the long isolation of social distancing, we have loved bringing live music back into our communities.”

* And Frankie also performs with Joey Delaney, the other lead singer of Midnight Rambler, as an acoustic duo.

* A graduate of Minnetonka High School in Minnesota, Frankie got her start in music performing and touring with a local School of Rock when she was just 8 years old. By age 16, she was performing with her friends at the famous Red Rock Amphitheatre in Colorado as part of that program.
