Haven Madison of American Idol Season 21

American Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 19 for its Season 21 premiere.

Here’s a bit more about Haven.

* American Idol has already released a snippet of her audition because she was one of three singers in the running for America’s platinum ticket, announced during the AMC Music Awards back in November.

* Haven auditioned with “Arcade” by Duncan Laurence. That fan-voted platinum ticket went to Elijah McCormick. But the fact that Haven was up for it must mean she quite impressed the judges and earned a golden ticket to Hollywood.

* She’s a high school student from Clarksville, Tenn., who describes herself as a “wannabe Hannah Montana” who’s “trying to survive high school while making music out of the creative ramblings of my restless mind.”

* She’s also been a member of the cheerleading squad at Clarksville High School.

* Haven’s already released original music, to the tune of a four-song EP called “All the Things I Didn’t Say,” released about a year ago. She called the project “one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done.”

* “These 4 songs go me through the hardest season of my life,” she writes on Instagram. “The biggest takeaway I hope you get from this EP is that it is OK to not be OK, and talking to people doesn’t mean you’re weak.”

* One of those songs is the magnificent “15,” about an impatient artist desperate to pursue her dream now. Check out the music video below.

* Writes Haven of the song: “I’m told daily what homework I have, upcoming tests, college applications, scholarship opportunities, and everything in between, yet everyday my soul sings a melody hoping there’s something more.”

* Haven’s most recent release is a song called “This Summer,” which came out in June. There’s also a music video for it. And she previously released “Watch Me,” “Sober” and “Phases.”

* Haven has also developed quite a presence on TikTok, to the tune of more than 4,500 followers and nearly 700,000 likes.
