More about Karly …
* Growing up in southern California, she became a surfing and skateboarding enthusiast and video on her Facebook page to prove she’s pretty darn good at the latter. Okay, she does take a little tumble.
* She was drawn to music partly because her mom sang in a band called Syren. “It was pretty much a rock band, but she would always tell me she was channeling her inner Gwen Stefani!” Karly says.
* Karly started singing at age 5 and started writing songs and playing guitar at age 11. As a high school senior, she was voted “most likely to sell one million records.”
* She has opened for her uncle’s band “five south” and has since been performing about three nights a week throughout the Orange County and L.A. area.
* Karly released her first single, “My Soul,” in 2014 and also has a song called “We Rock the Spectrum” on iTunes from the following year, done in conjunction with the Autism Speaks awareness campaign. You can check out the music video for “My Soul” and Karly’s unique sound on her YouTube channel.
* She released her debut EP, “A Collection of Songs,” in January 2018. And it’s an impressive collection. “Columbus” is my favorite of the group, and I’ve embedded it below. “Heartbeat” from that EP is also excellent.
* Here’s what she told Voice Views about her original music. “My goal is always to touch, inspire, and relate to people!! I like to keep it mellow acoustic a lot of the time, but also love messing around with some funky sounds!”
* As for her decision to audition with “Starving?” Says Karly: “I think it’s such a cute/fun song and I’ve loved it since it came out and it’s one that I often sing at my gigs! Also, its decently current which is always good!”
* Karly said she’s been watching The Voice for years. “My family, friends and random people I meet at my gigs have been telling me for a while that I should audition,” she told Voice Views. “It always scared me, so I never thought I would actually go for it, but I’m sure glad I did!”

The song you speak of “We rock the spectrum” is not a commercial for a kids gym. I am the founder of We Rock the spectrum, a gym for children of special needs that is now worldwide in 6 countries and 23 states. Karly’s magical voice is the song. Its people with incredible voices like Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys and Karly that use their God given talent to help the Autism/Special needs community that truly are the stars out their. That song has personally given my son a voice who has autism. Karly’s voice got him to sing through this amazing song. We are so grateful!
