Maddi Jane of The Voice Season 25

Season 25 begins Monday, Feb. 26, with the coaching quartet of John Legend, Reba McEntire, Chance the Rapper and Dan + Shay.

Here’s more about Maddi Jane:

* She’s a 25-year-old songwriter and singer of “pop music with purpose.” She’s a music producer too.

* Fourteen years ago, at age 11, she gained acclaimed for a performance of “Breakeven” on The Ellen Show.

* Maddi Jane wound up with one of the most popular pages on YouTube thanks to her cover videos. Her cover of Jessie J’s “Price Tag” has been viewed more than 100 million time there. Her cover of Shontelle’s “Impossible” has more than 80 million views.

* She also released some of those covers to great success. “Breakeven” has been streamed more than 30 million times on Spotify.

* Now Maddi Jane is focused on getting people to listen to her own music. She released a seven-song album called “Rapha” in 2022 and a single called “Rockstar” last March. Check out the very catchy “Rockstar” below.

* Head to her YouTube channel and you can check out music videos for four songs from that album – “Danger Talks,” “Numb,” “Church Girl” and “Let’s Talk.”

* In another post about her “Price Tag” cover, Maddi Janes writes that she “was having a lot of trouble speaking for myself because” she “was always the youngest in the room. I was fighting for my sound even though I was still finding out what that was.”

* That said, she also expresses joy that so many people are interested in listening to her original music. “Numb” has been streamed 100,000 times. And the writer of hundreds of songs that have yet to be released promises more new music is on the way soon.

* That Instagram page is worth checking out too because Maddi Jane also shares behind the scenes stories, like how they made it rain when she was recording a cover of Taylor Swift’s “If This Was a Movie.”
