Savannah Swatland of American Idol Season 24
Idol returns to ABC on Monday, Jan. 26, with the coaching trio of Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
Here’s more about Savannah:
* She’s a country singer-songwriter from upstate New York with music already out.
* That music includes three singles she’s released in the last two years, including the fun “Two Outlaws,” “Too Much of Not Enough” and the wonderfully catchy “Everything You Needed.”
* On Facebook, she calls the latter one of her favorites among the songs she’s written because of its simplicity, because she loves the melody and because she’s learned a lesson about changing herself for someone else.
* At the time of the song’s release in February, she wrote: “I’ve started to actually change. But for me this time, so I can be the best version of myself and get the most out of life and hopefully help others. * In her Spotify bio, Savannah says her career got a kickstart when she won a Mountain Soul Vocal Competition in Sevierville, Tenn. at age 14.
* She’s since performed the national anthem to open a Toby Keith concert and she’s opened for the Allman Betts Band, which includes three founding members of the Allman Brothers.
* Savannah also got to sing an impromptu snippet of “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” with Zach Top when she met him after one of his shows. A TikTok of that duet has been viewed more than 4.4 million times on the site.
* Prior to her more recent singles, Savannah released a 10-song album called “Ticket for Two” as Savannah Swatland and the Sidetracks” in 2022.
* In addition to singing, Savannah trains horses and likes to work on trucks, according to her web bio.
