Tanner Frick of The Voice Season 26

Tanner Frick is among the artists who auditioned for Season 26 of The Voice.

The Voice kicked off Season 26 Monday (Sept. 23) with the coaching quartet of Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg and Michael Buble.

Here’s more about Tanner:

* He’s a country artist from Brandon, Mississippi, who now lives in Manchester, Tenn.

* In fact, according his Voice bio, he maintains the water system for the city of Manchester.

* The same bio says music has long been one of Tanner’s passions, but he was taught early that it wasn’t a practical career choice.

* His stepbrother Garrett, who is cheering on his Voice appearance, introduced Tanner to guitar at age 13.

* Tanner has since performed at social events and some bars, but never in front of more than about 125 people.

* That hasn’t prevented him from accumulating a pretty impressive following on social media. His TikTok has more than 6,000 followers.

* You’ll find dozens of country covers there. A cover of Bryan Martin’s “Wolves Cry” appears to be among the most popular and he’s clearly among Tanner’s favorite artists.

* Though he hasn’t released music, Tanner’s also posted snippets of originals there, including a song called “Blue Collar Man” that you can check out below.

* The Voice bio says Tanner’s wife Madison has been encouraging him to follow his passion for music. They live on two acres in Tennessee with their three dogs and Tanner’s hobbies include hunting and fishing.
