Former The Voice contestant Morgan Wallen certainly has reason to celebrate this week.

His breakthrough single “Up Down” completed a 32-week climb to the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

And it did it with a leap, going all the way from number six last week to number one this week.

“Can’t begin to explain what this means to me,” Morgan wrote on Instagram.

Now, let’s not kid ourselves. The fact that Florida Georgia Line is featured on the song helped it get the attention it did.

Look at the country charts this week, and the top digital sales song is “Simple” by Florida George Line.

Topping the Hot Country Songs chart and the Streaming Country Songs chart is Beba Rexha’s “Meant To Be,” featuring … you guessed it, Florida Georgia Line.

But let’s give Morgan his fair share of credit too.

After all, his debut album, “If I Know Me,” is up to number 20 again on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. That’s a four-spot jump from last week.

And he co-wrote “You Make It Easy,” the current Top 10 hit for Jason Aldean.

Morgan has a busy tour schedule this summer, and it includes stops in Pittsburgh and Centre Hall, Pa. To check out all those dates, visit Morgan’s website.

Oh, and if you don’t remember, Morgan was a Top 20 finisher on Season 6 of The Voice.

Here’s the music video for “Up Down,” filmed on a boat owned by Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line.
