Morgan Wallen, from The Voice Season 6, is planning a double album for release in January.

Morgan Wallen, one of the most successful artists to hail from The Voice, is in trouble again.

In a rather spectacular fall from grace, Wallen is being banished from country radio, award shows and by his record company.

It all happened after TMZ posted a video of Wallen shouting a racial slur and profanities outside his Nashville home Sunday.

And it comes less than a month after Wallen released his record-setting, country-cliche riddled double album “Dangerous.”

The album landed at number one on the Billboard 200 the week after it was released and has been there ever since. It set streaming records on Apple Music and Spotify.

Since the video surfaced …

* Big Loud Records has suspended Wallen’s recording contract indefinitely and says distributor Republic Records is on board with that decision.

* Wallen’s music has been removed from country radio stations by Cumulus Media, iHeart Radio, Entercom and others.

* CMT is in the process of removing all of Wallen’s content from their platforms.

* The Academy of Country Music has announced that Wallen will not be eligible for any awards from the organization in 2021.

Wallen issued an apology.

“I’m embarrassed and sorry,” he said in a statement. “I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”

He made a similar promise last fall after being booted from a Saturday Night Live appearance for partying mask-less following an Alabama University football game the week before his scheduled appearance.

SNL gave him a do-over in December.

Wallen was also arrested in May 2020 for public intoxication and disorderly conduct outside a Nashville bar.
