The Billboard Music Charts BTS (before Taylor Swift’s new album hits) aren’t exactly filled with great news for former American Idol contestants.

Sure “September,” the Daughtry single, has reached a new peak of 36 among the Hot 100 singles. But Taylor has three singles in the top 30 on the same chart.

Sure “Mama’s Song,” Carrie Underwood’s latest single, moved up two spots to 68 on the Hot 100. But here’s guessing that Carrie’s run of consecutive country singles to reach number one has ended.

“Mama’s Song” is stuck at number 14 on the country chart for the third straight week. Between her and number one?

Who else: Taylor, with “Mine” at number five.

Among other highlights:

* Daughtry’s “September” is number two on the adult pop songs chart for at least the third straight week. Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” is number one.

* David Archuleta’s second album, “The Other Side of Down,” drops from 71 to 125 on the Billboard 200 in its third week on the chart.

* Katharine McPhee’s new Christmas album drops from 11 to 20 on the holiday album chart in its second week.

* Fantasia’s “I’m Doing Me” hit a new high of 27 on the R&B/Hip-Hop singles chart. It’s the second single off her “Back to Me” album.

Here’s a look at all the Idols on this week’s charts.
