There’s no doubt Natasia Greycloud had an unusually exciting run on Season 15 of The Voice.
On the verge of elimination in battle and knockout rounds, she was saved both times by coaches impressed with her vocals and her performances.
As a result, she wound up working with three of the show’s four coaches — Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton — and advancing all the way to the live playoffs before being eliminated.
From Newberg, Oregon, Natasia was 29 when she auditioned for the show and had released two singles in 2018 — “There You Go Again” and “What You Waiting For.” — prior to the show’s September premiere.
Fans old and new will be pleased to learn that they’ll be hearing new music from Natasia very soon.
Here’s what she told Voice Views about her time on the show and her plans moving forward.
Voice Views: Where do you see The Voice experience leading you musically? What are your musical goals / aspirations now?
Natasia: The Voice gave me an incredible platform to share my gift, and give people a small taste of what I do as an artist. I was a full time musician and artist before the show, so I’m definitely back at it full time and just trying to capitalize on the experience of this show, and the amount of people that are now interested in what I do.
Voice Views: Do you envision releasing new music soon? If so, can you tell me about that? Either what you have planned or what you’d like to do? And what sound fans can expect?
Natasia: Yes, I am actually releasing music on New Years day and I’m very excited about that! I think fans can expect a pop soul sound, similar to what I released at the beginning of the summer, but this song is definitely a more vulnerable side to my songwriting. I”m excited for people to experience that.
Voice Views: Which was your favorite Voice performance and why?
Natasia: My favorite Voice performance was “Tennessee Whiskey.” I think because I really relate to that song on a musical and personal level. It was the song I connected with the most, and felt like I gave a very authentic, true to myself performance. I’m happy that America got to see that.
Voice Views: Is there anything else you’d like to add about The Voice experience?
Natasia: This was for sure a life-changing experience, I’m grateful for how far I made it, and for what I got to show America. I know that it will only lead to good things in my musical future. Thank you to all of the people involved in the show that made it so amazing! I’m very thankful, and excited for what’s to come!
