New post-Voice music out last Friday includes a trio of EPs.

They come from Chance Pena and a part of artists seldom heard from since the show — Jessica Crosbie and Josiah Hawley.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases. The links take you to the EPs on Apple Music. You can also check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Chance Pena from Season 9 released a four-song EP called “Inevitable” lasst Friday. A singer-songwriter, Chance, of course, has a hand in writing all the tracks, Most of the songs focus on having the inner strength to control your own destiny. That’s certainly the case with closing track “Rise.” “Often our own minds are our worst enemy,” Chance writes on Instagram. “We talk ourselves out of opportunities; we let anxiety get the best of us. But these are all just hurdles to clear in order to get to where we’re supposed to be.” Chance was just 15 when he appeared on The Voice in 2015, but has released a steady stream of high-quality music featuring his unique vocals ever since.

* Jessica Crosbie from Season 10 released a four-song EP called “Therapy” last Friday after what she admits was a “big long break” from music. In fact, the EP marks her first official release since appearing on the show in 2016. Especially impressive are songs called “Never Brave” and “Just the Same.” Now based in England, Jessica is also studying to become a midwife.

* Josiah Hawley from Season 4 released a four-track EP last week called “I Just Want Your Love.” There’s both an English and Japanese version of the title track. Why? Because Josiah is now a Tokyo-based artist and model. The new EP also features his 2019 single “Gonna Let You Go,” just the second original he had released after finishing Top 10 on The Voice in 2013.
