New post-Voice music released recently includes a parody album from Chris Mann and new singles from Adanna Duru, Caroline Sky and MaKenzie Thomas.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

The links take you to the releases on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Chris Mann, a Season 2 finalist, started posting pandemic cover song parodies earlier this year. You might say they caught on. “Hello (From the Inside)” based on Adele’s “Hello” has been viewed 13 million times on YouTube. “My Corona,” based on The Knack’s “My Sharona,” has more than 7 million views. Now Chris has includes those songs and 10 others on a “Viral / Viral” album. “Laugh you troubles away,” Chris writes on Instagram. Thanks for helping us do that, Chris.

* Adanna Duru from Season 3 released a pair of new songs — “Green” and ‘Please Don’t Waste My Time” — under the project title “Kaleidoscope” last week. Adanna wrote both songs, said “Green” has been ready for release for about two years, but also calls it “timeless.” She also released freestyle dance videos for both songs (follow the individual song links above) and says “Please Don’t Waste My Time” took all of five minutes to film because she did it in one take.

* Caroline Sky from Season 12 released a catchy pop single called “Better Than This” on Friday. It follows “Paint My Red” and “Leave My Love” as the third single of 2020 for the 20-year old. In a recent interview with Envertent.com, Caroline said she has three more singles scheduled for release before the end of the year.

* MaKenzie Thomas, a Top 8 finisher on Season 15, has released a cover of “Let It Burn” by Jazmine Sullivan. Congrats also go out to MaKenzie, who is getting married Oct. 3!
