Gee, with that many votes, he might just be Idol-bound. He lists Aretha Franklin as his favorite performer, a set Fantasia did as his favorite Idol moment. “I’m a good guy,” he tells Idol. “I’ve been through a lot. I haven’t always done the right thing. I sing from a different place than most people.” Update: Made the finals and qualified for the Idol summer tour by finishing fifth.
