Owen Danoff releases first post-Voice single

Danoff, one of the standouts from Season 10 of The Voice, released his first post-show single today.

The song is called “Love on Your Side” and you can check it out at right.

The song was produced by Mike and Nick Squillante with Ben Marino on drums and vocals.

The Idolator premiered the single Thursday.

“I wrote this song while living in NYC,” Owen told the site. “I love the city and the people in it so much, but in a place with so much going on it’s sometimes easy to feel interchangeable, which was a bit of my inspiration for the lyrics.”

Owen added that the three musicians mentioned above are “great friends” and said the coolest part of the process was recording the harmonies that indeed help set the song apart.

And while “Love on Your Side” might be his first post-Voice music, it isn’t the only music you’ll find on iTunes from Owen.

He released an excellent album called “Twelve Stories” in 2014 and an EP two years before that.

As for The Voice, Owen was 25 when he auditioned with Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” and advanced all the way to the Top 11.

He has a number of shows coming up that you can check out on his website and Facebook page. One of those is a Nov. 2 show at the Mansion at Strathmore in Bethesda, Md. Tickets are $17.
