Phillip Phillips tour to stop in Shippensburg

Phillip PhillipsPhillip Phillips has announced he’ll be headlining a tour this fall.

And that tour includes a stop in nearby Shippensburg.

Phillips will be performing a the H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center in Shippensburg at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.

Reserve tickets range from $45 to $65 and are on sale now. They can be purchased by calling the center’s box office at 717-477-7469 or by visiting its website.

Phillip, who won Season 10 of American Idol, then scored a major hit with his debut single, “Home,” will kick off the tour Sept. 12 at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

The tour runs through early December and also includes a Sept. 14 stop at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. Tickets for that show are $55.

Phillips’ current album, “Behind the Light,” is sitting at 131 on the Billboard 200 and has sold more than 100,000 copies.

His debut album went platinum, signifying sales of more than 1 million.
