The American Idol judges keep talking about how strong the female contestants are in Season 15.

Well, there’s video proof of that below.

American Idol decided to post videos of the showcase performances by the Top 24. You know, those performances we saw just tiny snippets of during Thursday’s episode.

La’Porsha Renea and Sonika Vaid were particularly outstanding. They just might be the top two singers on Idol this year.

Anyway, I’ve split the Top 24 into girls (13) and guys (11) and then ranked those performances.

Wondering whose video was most viewed 48 hours after the show ended? That would be Jenn Blosil’s performance of “The Hanging Tree,” which would have ranked higher here if Jenn hadn’t broken into laughter at the end of a deadly serious song.
