The new song is called “Tattoo” and is one “I didn’t know I had inside me,” Rebecca told Mother Church Pew, which premiered the tune last week.
“In part, this song was written for a character, for someone freshly stung by heartache,” Rebecca writes on Instagram. “But to get there, I tapped into an old heartbreak of mine. I was working with feelings that I didn’t even realize I was still holding onto.
“And yeah, I do still have the tattoo.”
“Give Up Your Ghosts” is set for a Feb. 8 release, and the album is available for pre-order from iTunes.
Physical CDs and vinyl copies of the album, plus lots of other goodies, are available through Rebecca’s website.
While there, you can also check out the extensive list of “Give Up Your Ghosts” tour dates. They begin Jan. 29 and include stops in the D.C. area and Philly.
Rebecca was a Season 1 contestant on The Voice and released an excellent album called “Blink” in 2017.
