It’s an eight-song concept album called “Doom Hologram” that he describes as “a conceptual piece of music that spans from classical to pop to metal.”
It tells the story of an angel lost in the programs of a computer, Scarypoolparty (aka Alejandro Aranda) told AltPress.com.
And the album sprang from the first track — “Return2Sender” — easily the most accessible track on an project that’s anything but ordinary.
Scarypoolparty said the song began with an old demo; his friend Keller Moore helped craft the final product that finds the angel experiencing life through the eyes of the computer’s user.
Eventually, that angel gains freedom, but not before songs dealing with the stress of the internet, the corruption of money and the desire to run away from the hate in the world.
Scarypoolparty has released a music video for “Judas,” one of the songs on the album. You can check it out below.
As of Monday, “Doom Hologram” was sitting at number 60 on the Apple Music alternative albums chart.
Scarypoolparty’s first post-American Idol album, “Exit Form,” was released in November.
