Peedy Chavis, “Proud Mary” by Creedence Clearwater Revival — The moves might remind you of Elvis. The vocals won’t. Look, Peedy brought tons of energy to the stage, put on a heck of performance and livened things up on The Voice. But there are at least a half dozen singers remaining on Season 21 that I’d rather hear tackle that song. Grade: C+

Libianca, “Woman” by Doja Cat — Yep, that was a Team Blake performance. Complete with a rap interlude. I’m not sure how that’s going to go over with fans who typically vote Team Blake because it’s Team Blake, but Libianca certainly showed off her style and artistry and turned in a fine performance in the process. Grade: B

Paris Winningham, “I Wish it Would Rain” by The Temptations — And for anyone who thought Paris’s cover of “Tennessee Whiskey” in the knockouts was a fluke, he answered with this — the single best male performance of the night on The Voice. Talk about a deep rich voice, filled with emotion. Heck, Kelly took a page from the Jennifer Hudson school of coaching and threw her shoe at Paris. Yeah, it was pretty special. Grade: A

Lana Scott, “Next Girl” by Carly Pearce — Lana went upbeat for this round and delivered a high-energy performance. But I much preferred her knockout round cover of Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” and have to think there were tons of safer song choices for the only remaining country artist in the competition. Especially with the old-school twang in Lana’s voice. Grade: B

Wendy Moten, “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston — From the blinds, I got the impression Voice producers have picked Wendy as the most likely first black female to win The Voice. Monday’s pimp spot sorta backs up that suspicion. With a nice a cappella opening and plenty of vocal firepower, Wendy didn’t disappoint here. But the song choice was a disappointment. And Monday’s live playoffs showed it might take bigger risks to win Season 21. Grade: A–
