New post-Voice music out includes soulful singles from Christiana Danielle, Christian Cueves, Kalvin Jarvis, Judith Hill and Josh Hoyer with Soul Colossal. The latter was timed specifically for these quarantine or partial quarantine times.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

Stream, stream, stream away. Artists need your support in this time of no live shows.

* Josh Hoyer of Season 12 and Soul Colossal released “Hustler” on Friday. “This song is for all my brothers and sisters out there hustling to make ends meet during this trying time,” he writes on Facebook. “We can do it. When the world wants you to sink or swim, I ain’t going under!!” The song is off the band’s upcoming album, “Color Red.”

* Christiana Danielle from Season 14 has released a fun new single called “Grow Up,” letting guys know what she expects from them. As in, “I require some depth boy / I require you lovin‘ yourself boy / I require you lettin’ down your guard and showin’ me your heart.” Keep listening; there’s a neat little ending too. This marks just the third single from Christiana since she appeared on the show in 2018 and her first since last winter.

* Christian Cueavas, Top 6 on Season 11, has released a song called “Portland.” From what I can tell, it’s the single is his first in more than two years. Christian’s a worship leader and a new dad. Daughter Norah, 4 months old, is featured prominently on his Instagram these days.

* Kalvin Jarvis from Season 16 has a smooth new R&B single out called “Homecoming” on which he longs for a reunion with a lover. It follows “Big Mood” and “Fallin’ So Hard” (both 2019) as Kalvin’s third single since the show. More recently, he provided a feature vocal on “Mamacita,” released by Tommy Will in late April.

* Judith Hill from Season 8 was featured on Target’s Mother’s Day commercial lending her soulful vocals to a song called “Thank You.” Mother’s Day has come and gone, but the track is available on streaming sites and still worth checking out. Judith finished Top 8 on Season 8.
