Last year was pretty special for The Swon Brothers.

After all, they got to travel the country opening for Carrie Underwood, which is about one of the best tour gigs an independent country artist can hope for.

Now they’ve released one of the songs they performed on tour — “Don’t Call Me.”

It’s the first release from an upcoming six-song EP called “Pretty Cool Scars,” set for release later this year.

Zach Swon said the brothers always test out new material in front of live audiences.

And it was clear from fan reaction that “Don’t Call Me” was “a keeper” they had to release.

Colton added that “Don’t Call Me” is a song lots of people can relate to.

“It’s about finally getting to a point where you get over the things you need to get over, and you can move on with your life,” he said. “I think it can represent people in a lot of different ways, and then it becomes much more than a song at that point.”

The Swon Brothers placed third on Season 4 of The Voice, the best finish ever for a duo.

They released a debut album in 2014 that debuted at number six on the Billboard country albums chart, then followed it up with an EP called “Timeless” last year.
