Andi and Alex from Season 9 of The Voice now perform as Queen Hilma — a name that’s a tribute to their late grandmother — and released a new single this week.

Queen Hilma — better remembered by fans of The Voice as Andi & Alex — have released a new single.

And it’s one with the most touching of backstories.

You might remember that Andi and Alex are identical twins who grew up in the Green Bay area, graduated high school there, then headed off to Sydney, Australia, a journey that led to the creation of their pre-Voice band, She the Monster.

Well, Alex headed back home before Andi.

Andi says within a week, she realized “being alone freaking sucks, a lot” and she wound up writing a song — “Where Did You Go” — about missing her twin sister.

Now performing as Queen Hilma, the sisters released that song this week.

Wrote Alex on Facebook: “Andi wrote this while we were apart during college and it means the world to me. This is for anyone who can’t be with the one they love.”

For those who missed it, Queen Hilma also released a four-track EP, “Is Everything OK?” last year. “Drown in You” from that EP is a must hear.

Here’s a live version of “Where Did You Go.”
