Voice standout Braiden Sunshine releases his first music video

Sunshine, a Season 9 favorite on The Voice, released his first music video Tuesday.

It’s for a catchy pop song called “Best There Ever Was,” which Braiden wrote with Jason Pennock and his manager Jeff Franklin (no relation to this author).

In it, Braiden’s singing about being put to the test by someone special. It all works out. By the end of the video, he’s able to replace his cardboard girlfriend with a real one.

The debut music video isn’t all that’s new for Braiden. He recently unveiled a new website, he’s embarked on a “School’s Out” tour and he has a new old van for getting to those shows.

The van is the best story, shared by Braiden on his Facebook page.

Seems he saw an add for a 1997 12-passenger Dodge van that had been used as prisoner transport vehicle by the state of Connecticut. The ad read: “Cash is good, but stories are better.”

So Braiden shared the story about his musical journey so far and his plans for the future and got the van for free from a former owner who said “she’s had a hard life; she needs an adventure.”

The van is appropriately known as Story.

“Best There Ever Was” is the third song Braiden’s released since finishing in the top 9 on Season 9 of The Voice. It follows a pair of singles you’ll find on iTunes — “Reality” and “Place for Me.”

You can also follow Braiden on Twitter where he’s simply @BraidenSunshine.
