Voice winner Danielle Bradbery coming to York Fair

0

Well, I just double checked the lineup for the WGTY 107.7 Great Country Radio Stage at the York Fair, and there’s been a change.

A change that should thrill fans of The Voice.

The Voice - Season 4Season 4 Voice winner Danielle Bradbery is coming to York. She’ll be performing a 6:30 p.m. show Saturday, Sept. 14.

And, remember, these shows are free with admission to the York Fair, courtesy of the fair and WGTY. Can’t beat that.

Another young country singer, Dakota Bradley, was supposed to perform in that 6:30 p.m. time slot. He’s been moved up to the 3 p.m. slot.

That’s means local country singer Lindsey Erin will perform at 1 p.m. instead of 3 p.m., giving fair fans and visitors three free country shows in a single day.

And this year’s Great Country lineup already included two former American Idol finalists — Kristy Lee Cook from Season 7 and Lauren Alaina, the Season 10 runner-up. They’ll perform Monday and Thursday night, respectively.

For the complete WGTY lineup, which kicks off with Katie Arminger on Friday, Sept. 6, head here.

Danielle, who just turned 17, cruised to the Season 4 Voice crown under the tutelage of Blake Shelton. Five of her songs from performance night landed in the top 10 the next morning on iTunes.

She released her first post-Voice single — “Heart of Dixie” — in mid-July and the same thing happened. The song wound up debuting at number two on Billboard’s country digital songs chart.

Danielle stopped by WGTY’s Gettysburg studio last week. For photos, head to the station’s Facebook page.
