Watch Phil Stacey in concert Saturday evening

Phil Stacey

Phil Stacey was something of a singer without a genre during season six of American Idol.

After the show, he released a country CD, to modest success.

Now he’s on tour promoting his first Christian album, “Into the Light.” And if you’d like to watch him in concert from Jacksonville, Fla., Saturday, you can.

The concert is going to be streamed live at about 7:30 p.m., according to a blog on Phil’s MySpace page. You have to go to MyFaithStreams.com to access the live stream.

But if Saturday at 7:30 p.m. doesn’t suit, you’ll apparently be able to watch the concert anytime for the next three months.

Phil’s new album has yet to crack the top 25 on Billboard’s Christian album chart. But the lead single, “You’re Not Shaken,” is number 19 on the Christian singles chart and has climbed as high as number 17 in its 16 weeks on the charts.

And checking out Saturday’s concert might give you an idea of what to expect when Phil visits this area.

A New Hallelujah World Tour — also featuring Michael W. Smith, Meredith Andrews, and Matt Maher — will visit Salisbury, Md., on Thursday, Oct. 29, and Reading on Saturday, Oct. 31. Go here for ticket information on the Reading show, to be held at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center.
