What should happen tonight on The Voice?
Well, based on last night’s performances, multiple members of Team Gwen should be headed home while Team Legend — and maybe Team Blake — advances intact.
Ah, but The Voice format is designed to prevent one coach’s team from being decimated so quickly.
So that ain’t gonna happen, folks.
Instead, one contestant from each team will be at risk at the end of the night, forced to sing for an instant save.
Yep, that unfair instant save The Voice has been using season after season that’s blatantly unfair to anyone who’s fan base isn’t watching the show live.
So the beat goes on in Season 22, with unnecessary montages followed by an unfair battle round, followed by an unfair knockout round, followed by an unfair instant save.
Yep, I’m pretty much fed up and done with this show.
Thankfully, singers like Morgan Myles, Kim Cruse and Parijita Bastola were fabulous Monday night, making he show still worth watching.
Given the format we’re stuck with, here’s how tonight should go down.
Remember, two members of each team advance based on fan voting for members of that team. Each coach then saves one singer on his or her team. The four singers still not safe sing for the save.
Team Blake: Bryce Leatherwood and Bodie should advance on fan voting. Braden Lape should get the save. Rowan Grace will have to sing for the save, which would put her at a huge disadvantage because she lives in South Dakota.
Team Camila: Morgan Myles and Devix should be voted through. Kate Kalvach deserves Camila’s save. Eric Who should have to sing for the instant save.
Team Gwen: Kique and Justin Aaron should advance on fan voting. Kevin Hawkins should get Gwen’s save. Alyssa Witrado should have to sing for the instant save. She’s from Cali, which would put her at a huge disadvantage.
Team Legend: Kim Cruse and Parijita Bastola should sail into the finals. Sasha Hurtado, in my book, should get the save, but that probably won’t happen, leaving her to sing for a save while John advances Omar Cardona.
