Will Moseley, runner-up on American Idol Season 22, will be releasing an acoustic single on Friday

Will Moseley, last year’s American idol runner-up, plans to drop an acoustic version of his latest single on Friday.

Will released the first version of “Everything But Me” in early December. And you might say it’s been pretty well received.

The song immediately landed in the Top 50 of the Apple Music country chart and now has more than 590,000 streams on Spotify.

As for the upcoming acoustic version, Will says ” I wanted y’all to get a feel for how it sounded when we wrote it, and who don’t like a good acoustic version?

“Thank y’all for all of the support so far, and I can’t wait to show you all what’s to come!”

Will, 24, wrote “Everything But Me” with friend Benji Taylor.

“It just talks about a relationship coming to an end. It talks about all the things you did for that person … to try to make them stay, but in the end, they left anyway.”

And it’s not the only single Will has released that ‘s doing well on Spotify. “Gone for Good,” an original he performed on Idol, has now surpassed 2.5 million streams on the site.

Here’s the music video for “Everything But Me.”
