Samuel Harness from The Voice Season 21

Samuel Harness from Season 21 has released “Help,” a song he calls the most honest he’s every written. Says Samuel: “September is suicide awareness month. I wrote this song about my struggles with anxiety, depression and lots more.I hope this song is heard by anyone who can relate or needs the music as medicine. Mental health matters!!” In a separate social media post, Samuel says he felt so anxious sometimes growing up that “I would cry if I had to speak to order my own food or something.” It marks Samuel’s fourth single of 2022, and he’s released an acoustic version of this one as well.

Joey Green from The Voice Season 15

Joey Green from Season 15 released a single called “Birthday” on Thursday. In spite of the celebratory cover art, Joey says “this may be my saddest song yet. If you’ve ever had your heart broken, this song is for you.” The single comes on the heels of “Puttin’ It Out There,” a five-song EP Joey released in May.

Wilkes from The Voice Season 14

Wilkes from Season 14 has released his first solo single of the year, “Burn That Bridge.” It’s a song he wrote with Mickey Guyton. Wilkes also auditioned for the current season of America’s Got Talent. He says he got yeses from the judges, some great feedback from Simon Cowell. But he didn’t advance to the live shows and his audition didn’t air, a fact Wilkes partly attributes to what Simon labeled “a boring” backstory. “Thankfully, I haven’t suffered any real trauma or loss in recent years. I’m happily married and have a beautiful, healthy 12 year old daughter,” he says in a social media post about his experience. Wilkes has also been releasing music with E.B. Coles and her husband Shane as Wilkes and The Coles.
