It’s a fun-tune called “Louisiana Hurricane” celebrating her Louisiana roots and featuring supporting vocals by Voice colleagues Bri Fletcher and Dani Stacy.
“I love this song because it’s about having a good time using the name of a cocktail in Louisiana called a ‘Louisiana Hurricane’ to describe the easy spirit of the narrator letting everyone know the party is going down,” Karen writes on social media.
“We wanted something to not only represent where I’m from but also who I am, naming some of country music’s wild women, like Dolly Parton and Tanya Tucker, to paint the picture.”
Karen penned the tune with Leslie Satcher.
Karen has also announced a series of upcoming tour dates, including stops in White Marsh, Md., on Aug. 24 and Erie, Pa., on Sept. 28.
