Tate Renner of The Voice Season 26

Tate Renner is among the artists who auditioned for Season 26 of The Voice.

Season 26 kicked off Monday, Sept. 23 with the coaching quartet of Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, Michael Buble and Snoop Dogg.

Here’s more about Tate.

* He’s a singer-songwriter from Dallas, Texas, who’s now based in Nashville.

* He attended Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, Ill., where he played lacrosse and was a key member of a state champion forensics team in 2019.

* At the time, he was also part of a band called The Spins, splitting lead singing and lead guitar duties with another band member.

* He then attended Belmont University in Nashville.

* And at some point in the 20202 timeframe he released a debut EP described as combining “the soulful blues of the 20th century with the modern melodies of alternative artists.” It’s no longer available on streaming sites.

* More recently, Tate’s music has taken a country turn. His most recent covers on Instagram include songs made popular by Zach Bryan, Randy Travis, Hank Williams Jr. and Zach Top.

* You can also check out some of his more recent originals there, including songs called “Men Don’t Cry” and “Scars.” In fact, you can check out “Scars” below. It’s a song dedicated to people in long-distance relationships.

* Tate’s already built a decent following on TikTok with nearly 6,500 followers and more than 20,000 likes.
