Breanna Nix made an impression on Brandon Lake early in her run on American Idol.

She and Rylie O’Neill covered his hit song “Gratitude” during the duet round to determine who made the Top 24.

Lake wound up on FaceTime with the two singers to let them know how much he loved their performance.

Now, the deluxe version of Brandon’s new album “King of Hearts” features a duet with Breanna — their version of another of his popular singles, “Daddy’s DNA.”

Writes Breanna on social media: “This is something I’ve dreamed about for so long. To collaborate with someone I admire not just as an artist, but as a worshipper — it’s a dream I can finally say has come true.”

The deluxe version of the album also includes a second duet featuring a former American Idol standout, a version of “As for Me and My Home” with Gabby Barrett.

As for Breanna, the cut on Brandon’s album is just one of her post-Idol highlights to date.

She made her Grand Ole Opry debut on June 5, performing her new single “Higher.”

And she joined Brandon, Phil Wickham and Cain on the weeklong Summer Nights Worship Cruis late last month.
