No way I was going to call it a night without finding out more about Brittany Kerr.
She’s the 24-year-old NBA dancer from Charlotte, N.C., who showed up at the Savannah auditions.
Steve Tyler pronounced “I say yes” before she sang a note.
Let’s just say if American Idol ever published a calendar, she’d be deserving of a month. Now there’s a face and smile that could light up a CD cover. No Idol makeover required.
Well, in fact, she is a calendar girl, a swimsuit calendar girl, for the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA.
She’s a member of the Lady Cats, which is a cheerleading-like dance group. The Lady Cats were the NBA’s champion dance group in 2010 and 2011.
In her Lady Cat bio, Brittany lists singing as her dream job. Her bucket list includes sky diving, singing the national anthem at a professional sports event and visiting an elephant sanctuary in South Africa.
She was or is a human environmental science major at the University of Alabama, and has an English bulldog as a pet.
Oh, by the way, she sang pretty darn well on Idol, doing a rendition of Joss Stone’s “Spoiled.”
Randy and Steven voted to send her to Hollywood. Jennifer Lopez voted no, then predicted she won’t last a week when she gets there.

Let Brittany know that a guy I graduated with from high school here in Wisconsin was a foreign exchange student from south africa, and runs a wild life sactuary with all kinds of animals in Zambia Africa. I would gladly take her with me when i head out there this summer 2012.

Brittany Kerr had a good of a chance as anyone. I’m very disappointed in Jennifer Lopez as a person and a judge. It was so obvious she was jealous and was disappointed in not being the center of attention. I would refuse to go in front of her as a woman. I will never listen to her music or watch her movies again.
