We’ll find out next week, when “Play On” debuts on the Billboard charts. But so far, so good. The album has been tops among downloads on iTunes every day since its release.

As for this week’s music charts, four top 10 songs for Idols on one chart or another, and a fifth on the verge of cracking the top 10, from Blake Lewis no less. Here’s the rundown …

David Archuleta: “Christmas From the Heart” drops from 71 to 77 on the Billboard 200 on its third week on the chart. It drops from three to five on the holiday album chart. Artists ahead of him on that chart include Bob Dylan and Taylor Swift, so young David is in good company.

Kelly Clarkson: “Already Gone” took a while to move up the charts, but it has now advanced all the way to number eight among pop singles, up two spots from a week ago. The song dropped from 17 to 21 this week on the Hot 100. Kelly’s fourth album is 100 on the Billboard 200, down from 93 last week.

Daughtry: “No Surprise,” the first single from the band’s second album, holds steady at number nine on the adult contemporary chart. That album, “Leave This Town,” slips from 54 to 60 on the Billboard 200.

Blake Lewis: Yep, you heard right. Blake’s first single off his second album, “Sad Song,” jumps all the way to number 11 on the dance club chart. That’s two spots higher than a week ago. If you haven’t checked out the video, make sure to. It features Casey Carlson, one of the semifinalists from Idol season eight.

Mandisa: She has a second single from her second album on the Christian songs chart. “He Is with You” drops from 21 to 24 this week.

Kellie Pickler: Album number two from Kellie is still on the Billboard 200, at number 182 this week, down from 173 a week ago. The album is number 33 on the country chart.

Jordin Sparks: “S.O.S. (Let the Music Play)” climbed as high as number four on the dance song chart. This week, it drops back to number five. But Jordin’s second CD sure didn’t hang around long on the Billboard 200.

Phil Stacey: “You’re Not Broken,” the first single from Phil’s first Christian album is number on the Christian songs chart, down three spots from last week.

Carrie Underwood: “Cowboy Casanova,” lead single from “Play On” has climbed all the way to number three on the country singles chart. It drops to number 28, from 21, on the Hot 100. “Undo It,” which sounds like a future single, became available as an iTunes download last week and debuted at number 86 on the Hot 100, even though it’s not an official single at this point.
