Destinee Monroe from The Voice Season 30
The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 21 with the coaching quartet of Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah and Riley Green.
Here’s more about Destinee:
* She’s 32, from Egg Harbor, N.J., striking out as an independent artist after a wealth of recording and performing experience. Wow, talk about an impressive and versatile resume.
* She was signed to Interscope Records at age 12 as part of Clique Girlz, a girl group that also included younger sister Paris. They released music and opened for Demi Lovato, Billy Ray Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers, among others.
* When Clique Girlz disbanded, Destinee and her sister teamed up to form Destinee & Paris. They released two songs — “True Love” and “I’m on a Roll” — in the 2010 / 2011 time frame. Both have about 1 million streams on Spotify.
* They also toured with Brittney Spears during her Femme Fatale Tour, performing on six U.S. dates and in Europe.
* They also sang background vocals on Season 10 of American Idol and on Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery’s debut single.
* More recently, Destinee returned to New Jersey, spending more than two years performing as co-frontperson and guitarist with The Billy Walton Band. That’s a blues-rock and soul group formed by former lead guitarist of the renown Southside Johnny and the Ashbury Jukes.
* Destinee is now part of Jessie’s Girls NYC, a 1980s tribute band that plays shows through the Northeast and has a bunch of shows scheduled through the end of 2026.
* And she’s started releasing her own music, beginning with a pair of singles that dropped in 2025 — “Loose Ties” and “Bad as Me.”
* She also released a music video for an original song called “On and On.” it was filmed in the woods behind her childhood home. She wears her mother’s wedding dress in the video and plays the acoustic guitar she’s had since age 12. Check it out below.
* “It’s the first time I am putting music of my very own out into the Universe and am very excited to continuously release my original music and content,” she wrote on social media when her debut single dropped. “I hope to see you on this ride! It’s going to be a fun one!”
