Keiyana Osmond from The Voice Season 30

Keiyana Osmond is among the artists rumored to have earned a spot on Season 30 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 21 with the coaching quartet of Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah and Riley Green.

Here’s more about Keiyana:

* She’s a 32-year-old singer songwriter from Hyrum, Utah, with music already out.

* Way back in 2010, at age 16, she won the Cache County Idol competition at a county fair, singing “The Man Who Can’t be Moved” by the Script while playing guitar.

* The competition was for 16 to 26 years olds, so Keiyana was one of the youngest participants. And she won despite never taking guitar or vocal lessons.

* By 2013, she was collaborating with other musicians, posting covers regularly and releasing music, including a single called “Dancing on a Wire” with Kyle Wesley.

* But in a 2024 social media post, she says she also struggled with her sexuality and the fact that she is gay.

* She writes about lying awake at night as a child, “picturing what I wanted my future to look like. I was going to be an actress and a singer. I was going to play in the WNBA. And I was going to have a wife.”

* But she writes that she also feared her religion “would never accept that part of me” and feared she’d wind up losing those closest to her.”

* Her outlook has changed, dramatically, she writes on social media: “Over the past few years, I’ve spent so much time deeply getting to know myself. And in the process, I’ve learned to love and celebrate this piece of me that I used to work so hard to get rid of. I can genuinely say that I am so proud to be who I am, and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

* She’s also starting releasing music again — a pair of singles available on streaming sites called “Like That” and “Things Take Time.”

* The latter took time to release. Keiyana says she wrote it four years prior. She adds that the song “helped me find a piece of myself again that I had lost for a while … I never put it out because my perfectionism talked me out of it. But really I’m just so excited to be sharing music again.” Check out the music video below.
