Kris Allen debuted his new single — “Live Like We’re Dying” — Monday morning on the Z100 radio station in New York.
You can go here to hear it.
Now that didn’t take long, did it? The Idol summer tour just ended last week.
“Live Like We’re Dying” is the lead single of Kris’ album, due out Nov. 17. It’s a cover of a song first recorded by The Script, an Irish pop rock band, in 2008.
According to AceShowBiz, the song didn’t make The Script’s debut album, instead appearing as the B-side of the single “We Cry.” The Script’s version of the song is available on YouTube.
Personally, I prefer the original to Kris’ version.
But, hey, the song’s a lot better than “No Boundaries,” the Idol coronation song that made both finalists sound like they were dying in the season eight finale.
No word on whether that classic will be on Kris’ upcoming album.
Anyway, listen to the single, then let me know what you think by commenting below.
