Crystal Bowersox, New Idol Music

A Crystal Bowersox album update

Album cover for Crystal Bowersox's Farmer's Daughter. The season nine Idol album I’m most anxiously awaiting now has a cover and a track list.

Crystal Bowersox announced both earlier this week.

According to her website, the track list below includes eight songs she wrote, two she co-wrote, a Buffalo Springfield cover (“For What It’s Worth) and the first single (“Hold On”), which was written by Kara DioGuardi and Chad Kroeger.

One of the co-writes is a song called “Mason,” which Crystal wrote with her husband, Brian Walker.

As for the album cover, that’s it above, of course.

The pit bull isn’t Crystal’s. In a tweet, she said it belonged to the landowner where the photo was taken. “She jumped up there with me and we were just chillin’,” Crystal tweeted.

For folks like me who can’t wait to hear Crystal’s album, I’ve embedded three videos from a recent performance at VH1 studios.

They include “Ridin’ with the Radio” and the fabulous “Farmer’s Daughter,” both of which are on the album. I just hope the album versions are as pure and uncluttered as these.

Longtime fans will note that the lyrics to “Farmer’s Daughter” have been laundered for a PG rating.

Crystal also addressed that in a recent tweet: “Clean versions are going on the CD, so everybody’s happy. But never fear! You can have all the original versions too! Stay tuned.”

Almost forgot: The album release date hasn’t changed; still Dec. 14. But Crystal told VH1 the single will be out before then.

Now the track list, followed by the promised videos.

1. Ridin With The Radio
2. For What It’s Worth
3. Farmer’s Daughter
4. Holy Toledo
5. Lonely
6. Hold On
7. On The Run
8. Kiss Ya
9. Speak Now
10. Mine All Mine
11. Mason
12. Arlene
