Scotty McCreery’s second album went on sale today.
And, right now, it’s trailing the new EP from Chase Rice and sitting at number two on the iTunes country album chart.
So far, “See You Tonight” has also failed to crack the top 10 on iTunes overall album chart.
As of 11:30 a.m., it was sitting at number 13, behind new releases from Pearl Jam, Gavin DeGraw, Paul McCartney and the latest from the gang at Glee.
It’s tough to compare chart rankings from week to week because they’re so dependent on what other albums are released at the same time.
But a week ago, Season 3 Voice winner Cassadee Pope’s country debut was sitting atop the country albums chart and at number seven on the overall chart.
It’s now dropped to number four on the country chart and number 23 on the overall chart.

Meanwhile, Scotty has a number of promo events planned in conjunction with the album release, including:
* A 10 a.m. appearance Wednesday on NBC’s “Today”
* An 8:45 a.m. appearance Thursday on FOX’s “Fox and Friends”
* A Saturday performance at the Grand Ole Opry
* A Friday, Oct. 25 appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno
