We’re just a week away from the release of Candice Glover’s debut album.
And this will be interesting to watch.
Will she be hurt by the long lull between her crowning as Season 12 winner of American Idol and the release of her debut album?
Or will she benefit from the warmer feelings about the new season of Idol compared to the indifference that surrounded much of Season 12 and the subsequent summer tour?
Candice is doing her part in promoting the album, “Music Speaks,” due out Feb. 18. She appeared on The View today to sing her most recent single, “Cried.”
And after that, she tweeted that she’d be filming a segment for Entertainment Tonight, followed by 106 & Park.
Meanwhile, “Music Speaks” is available for pre-order on iTunes at the bargain price of $7.99.
As for the album, here’s what Candice had to say on The View: “Every week on the show, I made sure that I did something that was heartfelt and something that would connect with the audience. I think on the album, it will be an emotional connection for everybody. I think everybody will be able to connect with at least one song on the album.”
The View hasn’t posted video of today’s performance yet. In the meantime, here’s the official video for “Cried.”
