In the mood for some new dance/party music?

Check out the EP released last week by Paula DeAnda, a Season 6 contestant on The Voice.

Paula has teamed up with The Jump Smokers, a Chicago-based DJ crew, to serve up a five-track EP called “The Voice and the Beats.”

You guessed it — Paula is the voice; the Jump Smokers provide the beat.

The first single is the catchy “Horns Blow (Shimmy, Shimmy),” which I’ve embedded below. My other favorite is the sassy “Arrivederci.”

Paula, 24, auditioned for Season 6 of The Voice with “The Way” and landed a spot on Team Blake.

But her stay on the show ended when she was pitted against one of Season 6’s most talented singers, Sisaundra Lewis, in the battle round.

Paula tried out for the show looking for a second chance in the music business. She was signed to a record deal as a teenager by Clive Davis and scored a pair of gold singles, including “Walk Away,” which cracked the Top 20 on the Billboard chart.

'Treasure' indeed
