Secret Someones have released a fourth song from their upcoming debut album.

It’s a breakup tune called “Let You Go,” and the band has given it the video treatment as well.

For those unfamiliar, the Secret Someones are fronted by three talented singer-songwriters — Bess Rogers, Hannah Winkler, and Lelia Broussard — with Zach Jones providing percussion.

Lelia performed on Season 3 of The Voice; she’s the young lady you’ll see providing the lead vocals in the video for “Let You Go.”

“Let You Go” actually pre-dates the band’s formation, she said, and was written with the help of producer Chris Kuffner.

Here’s Lelia’s story behind the song.

“I was about to go through a breakup and was in a particularly rough spot,” she says. “I was over at Bess’ place one night talking to her about the situation. She ended up confessing to me that she had started writing a song about my situation.

“The song she had started writing made me burst into tears and, after a few whiskeys and lots of tears, we ended up staying up the whole night writing the song and recording a demo of it. It was one of the most special and cathartic writing experiences I’ve ever had, and it’s become one of our favorite songs to play.”

The Secret Someones’ self-titled debut album comes out Oct. 2. Judging from the music we’ve heard so far, it’s going to be filled with tunes that get stuck in your head. In a good way.

Pre-orders are underway and are accompanied by instant downloads of “Let You Go,” “Headfirst” and “Quit Pulling Me Down.”

Oh, and that full length album also includes acoustic versions of six Secret Someones’ tunes.

Meanwhile, the band has scheduled a StageIt show for Thursday. Head here for info on that.

And Secret Someones has announced two shows in this general area: Thursday, Oct. 8, at MilkBoy in Philly and Friday, Oct. 9, at Jammin’ Java in the D.C. area.

Check back with this site later this week for my interview with Lelia about the band and the upcoming album.
