A look at recent releases from artists fans met on The Voice.
Sophia Bromberg, just 16 when she auditioned for Season 21 in 2021, has released her debut EP, “Spice.” Of the five tracks, “cardamon princess” has already gotten 100,000 streams on Spotify and “sesame” is approaching that mark. And Sophia recently released a music video for “chili.” The new song released along with the EP is “Moon Baby.” Says Sophia: “I’ve always been enamored by the moon. How it’s light flooded through my window when the sun went to sleep. A reminder that the only constant in life is change, and we must embrace this change to live freely. “moon baby” embodies this realization. My ask for you is to gaze at the moon tonight. Because I’ll be looking up too.”
Liam St. John from Season 19 has dropped a new song called “Believer” and packaged it with three previously released singles — “forefathers,” “Dipped in Bleach” and “Landslide Over the Highway” — for a four-song EP. There’s also a music video for “Believer,” which you can check out below. ” Says Liam: “Being candid and telling my story … That’s what has resonated the most with my audience. I’ve found that the best way to connect with others is to tell the story only you can tell”.
Jupiter Winter — Lelia Broussard and Royce Whittaker — have a new song out called “We Are Not Machines.” Leiia, from Season 3, says the song was born “in the darkest days of the pandemic, when we were all feeling scared and isolated … It’s okay to be sade. We’re all just humans doing our best to figure it out. We are not machines.” Jupiter Winter is the latest musical endeavor for Lelia, who has released lots of great music over the years as a solo artist and with another band, Secret Someones.
Whitney Fenimore from Season 13 has dropped a new song called “New Normal.” It’s a song she wrote with Preston Cochran. Says Whitney: “It’s not always easy to write the truth, but I’ve been challenging myself to be more honest in my songwriting…to dig a little deeper, even when it’s scary.” The new song follows “Thin Line” and “Call You in the Morning” as Whitney’s third single of 2024.
