Well, they did it.
The Season 9 cast set The Voice record for four-chair turns in a single season with 14.
Dustin Christensen and Shelby Brown turned the trick in Monday’s final blind audition episode before joining Team Blake and Team Adam, respectively.
And the number might have gone higher than 14 if the very impressive Amy Vachal and Sydney Rhame had performed while all four coaches still had spots on their team.
For those who lost track, the other four-chair turns went to Lyndsey Elm of Team Gwen; Mark Hood and Evan McKeel of Team Pharrell; Blind Joe, Barrett Baber, Krista Hughes and Chris Crump of Team Blake; and James Dupre, Jordan Smith, Manny Cabo, Viktor Kiralry and the twin duo of Andi and Alex of Team Adam.

In the meantime, here’s a photo gallery from Monday’s show.
By the way, the previous record for four-chair turns in a season was 12 in Season 7 — when Craig Wayne Boyd won after turning just two chairs with his blind audition.
In other words, don’t count out the other 26 acts in Season 9.
