New post-Voice music out recently includes songs from the duo Elenowen, former runner-up Britton Buchanan and Blaine Mitchell.

* Elenowen, the husband and wife team of Josh and Nicole Johnson from Season 1, released “Lost at Sea.” Writes Nicole on Instagram: “A couple years ago I was in the studio alone hearing this melody in my head, but couldn’t find anything close to it on the piano. Around the time I was about ready to give up on the idea, Josh walked in and sat at the piano. I didn’t sing him my melody or really tell him anything other than the fact that I couldn’t figure out a song in my head. He started to play a melody and I almost fell over when the notes he was hitting were the exact ones Ineeded but couldn’t find myself. I stood behind him with my hands on his shoulders and cried as the words started to flow out and the song was born right there.” Oh, and congrats are in order. Josh and Nicole just celebrated their 13th anniversary.

* Britton Buchanan, the Season 14 runner-up, recently released a new single called “Taking Pictures.” It’s about having something to prompt memories of the good times when a relationship goes sour. It’s already Britton’s fifth single of 2021 and follows “Better,” released in April.

* Blaine Mitchell from Season 9 has a new song out called “Contagious.” He says it’s actually a song he wrote back in 2014. “But it took a minute to get the musical recipe just right, and my bro out in LA really did a number on this one brining classic rooted soulful folk to life in this arrangement.” It follows “Ain’t It Fun” as Blaine’s second single of 2021.
